Will Manchester United Win Another Trophy?

New season for the European Football has arrive again and I believe many of the football fan will have very busy weekend from now to next May.

After Manchester United success in the community shield against Portsmouth(penalty win)
They will have the chance to win their second trophy this season and it's European super cup against Zenit St Petersburg of Russia.

For those who don't know European Super Cup, well it's a annual competition that bring together European Champions' League winner(Manchester United) against UEFA Cup winner(Zenit St. Petersburg) at Monaco.

Manchester United is superbly well known all over the world but Zenit St. Peterburg? Will they be good enough for M. U. ?

Zenit St. Petersburg is the Russia Champion of last year as well as UEFA Cup winner. They are best known for their star player and team spiritual leader Andrei Ashavin who is a bright star especially at the Euro 2008 at Switzerland and Austria and helped Russia reached the semi final stage.

M. U. on the other hand was also the "double winner" last season with EPL and UCL title in their bag. They have huge number of star player such as Christiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Edwin Van Der Sar and lots more. They Absolutely conquered European football last season and really, no club in Europe that can stop them last seasons.

According to some leading betting site, MU have 68% chance of winning and Zenit have 32%. How can a club like MU versus a relatively small club like Zenit and only enjoy 68% chance? I think MU will have better chance of winning against Blackburn or Everton than Zenit. So beware, MU "may" at a great deal of danger facing Zenit. Why???

Well MU never play against Zenit before and they rarely play against Russian side. At the other hand, most of the player of Zenit are Russian so they are very unite and have great team work(remember the Bayern Munich team during the 70's with Franz Backenbauer).

Another interesting fact is that according to a famous betting side, MU only enjoy 1.70 winning rate while Zenit enjoy 3.30 winning rate. This mean that MU will give away 0.75 ball to Zenit(75% chance MU will win with one or more goal while 25% chance of a draw or Zenit win).

I still remember i last seen this number of odd was Community sheild final between MU vs Portsmouth and Mu was lucky that night win by penalty.

So it should be a great game and Mu is still the hot favorite but i don't know if history repeat itself and the game go to penalty, will MU be lucky again?
